Head coach of “Real Madrid” and former French football team Zinedine Zidane spent the last weekend in St. Petersburg.
Today it became known that he arrived in the city for a reason, and at the invitation of the Committee on Tourism Development of the Northern capital.
According to Andrei Mushkareva they repeatedly invited Zidane to visit, and here he was able to spend two days in St. Petersburg during a break in the championship of Spain on the game of football teams.
It turned out that Zidane was the first “Ambassador of Russian hospitality.” The city authorities expect to continue to invite famous athletes, musicians and other figures, for which millions of people watching on the social networks.
Muksharev noted that St. Petersburg is now the driving force for the other regions of the country. He called the gateway to the city and a large variety of Russian tourists from around the world. The authorities intend to continue to develop tourism on the eve of the Confederations Cup 2017 and World Cup 2018.
