In the National Unity Day, on two consecutive days – 4 and 5 November, the facades of the Mariinsky Palace and St. Isaac’s Cathedral were support for a bright and colorful show. The project gathered the best experience of lighting design and 3D-mapping technology. Brightness and entertainment pictures provided more than 30 projectors light output of 20,000 lumens each.
Multimedia show on the facade of the Mariinsky Palace was devoted to St. Petersburg myths and events largely determine the fate of the country. Show on St. Isaac’s Cathedral, consisting of four short stories, was devoted to the work of genius Auguste Montferrand and the role of the cathedral in shaping the architectural appearance of St. Petersburg. The event was held with the support of the Government of St. Petersburg and the Tourism Development Committee.
In the area sounded the poems of Pushkin, Mayakovsky, Akhmatova, Gumilev, Osip Mandelstam by People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Nikolai Burov and Russian theater and movie actress Anne Geller.
In the future it is planned to make the annual festival and alternately carried out at different venues in the city.
